New Beginnings

 
We are delighted to announce that India & Atiya have returned home to our family stable and will be taking over the reins of operating our business full time.
Alongside developing our own horses, the girls have spaces to take in new horses to produce, compete & sell, if desired.
We also have new training packages available suitable for horse and rider combinations of all levels & can furthermore provide assistance in helping you find the perfect match when looking for your next horse.

Successful MET III for India

 

India enjoyed a productive three weeks under the Spanish sunshine showing in Oliva Nova for MET III with her Stephex team. We enjoyed a lovely weekend there to visit and support! Check out some snapshots from her time there:

Elstar shines at the Sunshine Tour

 

Another wonderful Wodehouse Reference, ‘Elstar STM Z’, doing great things at the Sunshine Tour!

We have loved watching this new partnership go from strength to strength, jumping 9 clear rounds at 1m30 and 1m35 level across the tour with 8 placings! What a perfect team they make; the future looks bright for these two!

Billy Colman continues to make us proud

 

Small, but mighty. Wodehouse Reference ‘Billy Colman’ is nothing but. Together with young rider Summer Tanner, Colman delivered no less than 5 wins and 10 top 10 placings over the course of their time in the Sunshine Tour. 

They concluded their time in the Spanish sunshine with Colman taking Summer to new heights jumping her first ever 1m45 LR class! It was great to be able to visit and watch them in action live! Congratulations team on a fantastic tour! We predict an exciting year ahead for this combination.

Nic Nac’s stellar show debut in the Spanish sunshine

 

We could not be more proud of our lovely 6-year-old gelding ‘Nic Nac’ making his show debut the past few weeks in the beautiful Spanish setting of the Sunshine Tour in Vejer with Atiya.

With this being his first ever show, he took everything in his stride and made some excellent results and beautiful rounds of jumping. This just goes to confirm his excellent character and also love for the job!

Imperium’s Uno

2020 155cm gelding by 1m55 show jumper Escape Z with Quidam on the motherline

Uno has been in our stable since we acquired him as a yearling and has truly been a pleasure to do in all ways. He has a lovely sweet nature and has answered every question asked of him and more in his education so far. 

He began his competitive career at the tail end of last year, doing a handful of shows before having a winter holiday. In that short period, he has already been a winner in the British Novice class and jumped double clear in his first Discovery (1m) class. 

Uno is a super jumper with a textbook technique and great respect for the fences, but is also very brave and forward thinking. He is very elastic and athletic in the body and light & uphill in his ride and way of going. He would be the perfect ladies horse or first horse off ponies for a young rider. 

Uno also has the WOW factor when it comes to looks. He is a super flashy model and looks just like his father, Escape Z! 

Uno rides beautifully on the flat also, including clean lead changes both ways.

Elstar off to a shining start

 

We are so proud to see Wodehouse Reference ‘Elstar STM Z’ already doing great things together with his new rider Camilla Siekman at their first show together with already lots of clear rounds and placings in Oliva Nova MET I! Looking forward to following them competing at the Sunshine Tour in the coming weeks!

Sophie has been a part of our Wodehouse team for many years now, even before she started working in the stable herself. Sister to Cassey, it really is a family affair. 

Sophie is now the top pilot of our stable superstar, Westwinds Ego. Previous ride and teacher to India, Atiya & Cassey, Sophie has taken over the reins to also take her riding to the next level.

Amy’s Profile

Amy has become a crucial part of our Wodehouse Team over the past few years and is hugely valued for her dedication and care for the horses. A great team creates a great stable and we value ourselves on having a fantastic atmosphere for the horses to really be at home in their surroundings and with the people who take care of them. Amy brings a great energy to the stable and the horses feel it! We are very lucky to have her here at Wodehouse.

Top reference Billy Colman keeps on winning!

We have lost count of the amount of victories and top placings that Summer & Colman have accumulated over the past year. A true match made in heaven! They topped off a fantastic week at Hickstead with a top 10 placing in the Douglas Bunn Challenge taking on some of the iconic derby fences with ease. Congratulations to everyone involved in this success story!
