Billy Colman takes 2nd in CSI** Medium Grand Prix

Billy Colman made his return to International competition after a long Corona break a very successful one, taking a superb 2nd place in the Medium Tour Grand Prix at Chard CSI**.

A fantastic double clear saw India & Colman slot into 2nd place behind good friend Georgia Tame who took the winning spot, and the podium was completed by Irish rider Shane Breen.

Wodehouse Voadicia makes her show debut a winning one!

We were delighted with our lovely homebred mare ????????? ???????? (???????? ???? ???????????? ? ?????? ?) jumping a super double clear at her first ever show to win the 4-year-old class at Anvil Park Stud. We are very excited about this talented mare!

Winning start to our 2021 season

Due to a long Coronavirus and then EHV break, it is only now that we were able to do our first show of the year, but the horses picked up where they left off with some super results over the two days at the new Keysoe International.

Billy Colman made his start to the season a winning one, taking top spot in a competitive 1m30 class – watch his video below:

Atiya completed her first show with H Rubertha R 6, owned by The Walker Family, with two top 3 placings in the 1m20 classes and an unlucky pole in the 1m30 class on day 2.

Atiya also jumped double clear in the 1m20 class with our exuberant Goldenboy for a lower placing and India & Florida VDL jumped a couple of super rounds in the 1m40 classes for an unfortunate pole in each.

We are very much looking forward to the season ahead with an exciting bunch of horses!

National Championships 2020 – Round Up

It was great to be back out competing at our first show post lockdown, and what better place to do it than in the beautiful setting of the Bolesworth Estate at the British Showjumping National Championships.

Chesterfield Z was our star of the show placing in the top 10 of both his Championships with Atiya. Firstly, the Under 16 National Championship on Thursday in which the pair finished 7th jumping a beautiful first round clear with an unfortunate time penalty keeping them out of the jump off. He then produced another fantastic clear on the final day of competition in the 1m30 National Championship where they placed 9th.

We were also delighted with our lovely 4-year-old stallion Elstar STM Z who behaved impeccably at his first stay away show taking the atmosphere all in his stride. He jumped two super clear rounds in the 4-year-old classes and in doing so picked up a 4th placing also!

Atiya also stepped up to jump her first 1m45 class with our own 10-year-old gelding Florida VDL in the Under 21s Championship and put in a good performance in the Grand Prix Qualifier/Junior Viewing Trial gaining valuable experience at this level to take forwards.

We are now very much looking forward to our next show which will be Hickstead at the beginning of September, and look forward to this week visiting India in her new base in Germany!

Keelnacally Quilletto Robuck cleans up at Chepstow International

We took five horses to Wales to compete at Chepstow International with Atiya.

Keelnacally Quilletto Robuck dominated the pony classes with a 3rd, two 2nds and a win – including 2nd in the 148 Grand Prix… It was a lovely note to finish our time together with!

Florida VDL also impressed jumping the CSI** Big Tour (1m40) classes with small mistakes keeping the pair out of the results.

6yos Dandy Ste Hermelle, owned by Ross Walker, and Calisto de Laubry Z, owned by Sue Crawford, stepped up to jump the age classes and flew around the 1m30 Grand Prix, their biggest track to date, with ease!

It was also Chesterfield Z’s first show back after a small holiday and he impressed as always with a clear in every class jumped!

Youth Nations Cup Show – Sentower Park

India was delighted to have been selected to go to the First Nations Cup show of the season with, our own and The Billy Stud’s, Billy Colman of whom she has produced from a 5-year-old. India was competing at the show as an individual with Team GB’s Youth Squad, putting in some solid performances on a young horse including placing 4th on the last day around the Nations Cup track individually, which was the perfect end to a good week.

Puissance Winners – 2m15!

On Friday night at the Arena UK Major Showjumping Championships, India & home produced 8-year-old Florida VDL jumped all 5 rounds clear in the Puissance finished up clearing 2m15 and sharing the spoils alongside Murray Mcleish & Chelsea Skelton.

This was the 8-year-olds first ever Puissance and he loved it! Excited now to have been asked to go to HOYS to jump the famous red wall on Saturday evening!

Youth Nations Cup Finals, Sentower Park

We were delighted to find out that Atiya & Chesterfield Z were set to represent Great Britain on the Children On Horses Nations Cup team for the 4th time this year, this time at Sentower Park in Belgium for the big Nations Cup Finals for Youth.

The pair jumped a super clear on day one, helping Team GB to qualify for the prestigious final on Sunday. Friday was the individual competition where they once again jumped double clear & finished in 7th place – a fantastic result. They finished the week with another class round around a technical 1m30 track, unfortunately just touching the last fence for 4 faults. Never-the-less they provided the best score across the board for Team GB helping the team to achieve 5th place in the Finals.

That marks the end of Atiya & Chester’s Children On Horses campaign, but what a year it has been!
